CAPSYS CAPTURE OCR/OMR Module. CAPSYS CAPTURE OCR provides Zonal Optical Character Recognition capabilities on structured forms. OCR is the mechanical or electronic translation of images of typewritten or printed text captured by a scanner into machine-editable text. OCR is primarily used to recognize characters off of a scanned page into textual data that can be useful in the capture process, i.e., automatically recognizing metadata off of the page and inserting it into an index field without requiring manual data entry. CAPSYS CAPTURE OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) provides the ability to process information containing human-marked data in the form of check-boxes from document forms such as surveys, applications, claim forms and tests.
