PDF2Image provides the ability to convert PDF documents that are ingested into CAPSYS via the web client or document import, or any other means into any of the following formats:
TIF Group IV compressed images are the most commonly used format. Since PDF documents can be color or gray-scale in nature and TIF Group IV images by definition are black and white images, PDF2Image supports the concept of Dithering. The higher the number in the dithering setting, the more aggressive the algorithm by the underlying engine will use to make the color images such as pictures (embedded JPEG within the PDF) discern-able.
