About Voucher

Overview

Voucher is a Quick Server Extension (QSX) that automatically:

Voucher is a separate licensable QSX.  Please contacts CAPSYS Sales or Support for more information.

How Voucher Works

When a CAPSYS CAPTURE service hands a batch containing one or more indexed documents to the Voucher QSX, Voucher generates a new Word document according to predefined rules. It then assigns a document type to the Word document, and can also automatically populate the new document's index fields, as dictated by other predefined rules. If the QSX's processing is successful, the batch is routed to the next event in the batch profile process map. That event is usually a user-driven queue.

How You Might Use Voucher

The Voucher QSX was originally designed to dynamically generate an accounts payable voucher document based on information contained in other procurement-related documents that would be already present in the batch. Such procurement-related documents might include purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, and so on. A CAPSYS CAPTURE thin client user with authorization to approve payments would then use their CAPSYS CAPTURE queue to check-out a batch containing the voucher, view the voucher document, and record a digital signature using a Word macro installed on the user's local computer.

While Voucher was designed with an accounts payable process in mind, it will automatically generate a Word document based on any type of Word template and pull indexing data from any indexed documents already held in the batch.

You will need Microsoft Word installed on your local computer to view a Microsoft Word (.doc) file through the CAPSYS CAPTURE thin client viewer. A specific version of Word may be required depending on the third-party digital signature Word macro you are using.
