Configuring CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import
Once you add the CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import input source to a server group, you must configure it in order to import batches.
CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import works in one of two modes:
- Capture Batches Pre-formatted with an INI File — In this mode CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import looks for an "index.INI" file among the image files in the batch folder. This INI file defines the name of the CAPSYS CAPTURE batch profile that will be used to classify the batch once it is imported by a CAPSYS CAPTURE Server. The INI file may also include index values that can be passed into CAPSYS CAPTURE document index fields. Using only the INI file, then, the CAPSYS CAPTURE system will automatically output a classified CAPSYS CAPTURE batch containing a classified and indexed CAPSYS CAPTURE document. The CAPSYS CAPTURE Pro standalone scanning station outputs batches in this form so that they can automatically enter CAPSYS CAPTURE Server processing through CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import.

- Capture Batches with No INI File — In this mode CAPSYS CAPTURE Document Import looks for a batch folder that only contains a set of files (images and other file types) with no other information indicating what they are or how they relate to each other. An additional step (manual or automated) will be required later in the capture workflow in order to classify the files, assemble them into documents, and create indexes.
