Troubleshooting CAPSYS CAPTURE Fax for FAXCOM

Problem

“Error in GetBatch: Error #2170 Error was: Invalid user type for this login method.”

If you receive this message in the CAPSYS CAPTURE Audit Log, the CAPSYS CAPTURE service attempting to use CAPSYS CAPTURE Fax to access the FAXCOM Server is running under a local system account. The CAPSYS CAPTURE Server needs its own account with the proper rights to communicate with the FAXCOM API.

Solution

1. Launch the Services administrative tool on the CAPSYS CAPTURE Server computer.
2. Locate the CAPSYS CAPTURE Server service and open its Properties dialog box.
3. Click on the Log On tab.
4. Enable a specific account to use with the CAPSYS CAPTURE service. Do not use the local system account.
