Adding a Batch Profile Permission

Every server group needs permission to pick up and process the batches that an input source finds and presents to a CAPSYS Server. Permission is granted to a server group based on the name of the batch profile used to create a batch.

You can add any number of batch profiles to a single server group. A single batch profile can be added to a single server group only once.

  1. Run CAPSYS Process Manager.
  2. Expand the Server Groups container item in the console tree, if it is not already open.
  3. Click on the name of an existing server group.
  4. Under Group Tasks, click Add a Profile to this Group.
  5. In the Add Profile to Group dialog box that opens, click on the name of the batch profile you want to add to the server group. If a batch profile name is grayed-out in the list, the selected server group already has permission to process those batches.
  6. When you have made your selection, click OK.

The new batch profile displays when you view the server group in CAPSYS Process Manager.

Batch profile permission changes will not take effect until you stop and restart the CAPSYS Service.
